Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder

Hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) is a common concern that can significantly affect a woman’s sexual health. It’s characterized by a decrease in sexual desire, causing distress or interpersonal challenges.

But you’re not alone, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

At Aesthetic + Mind MD, we offer 2 main treatments: Vyleesi (bremelanotide) and Addyi (flibanserin).

Vyleesi is an injection taken as needed before sexual activity. It works by activating certain pathways in the brain involved in sexual responses.

It’s suitable for premenopausal women experiencing HSDD.

Addyi is a daily oral medication. It helps correct an imbalance of dopamine and norepinephrine (both responsible for sexual excitement) and decreases levels of serotonin (responsible for sexual inhibition).

It’s suitable for premenopausal women experiencing low sexual desire unrelated to other causes.

Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition where a man has difficulty getting or maintaining an erection. It can impact your self-esteem, relationships, and overall quality of life.

We offer several treatments, including testosterone, Vyleesi, Trimix, Minoxidil, and Finasteride.

Trimix is an injection that works by relaxing muscles and opening blood vessels in the penis, resulting in an erection.

It’s suitable for men who haven’t responded to other treatments.

Minoxidil and finasteride are oral medications FDA-approved to treat hair loss, but have shown promise in treating ED. They work by preventing the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone in the body.

They’re suitable for men experiencing both hair loss and ED.
